According to TMZ, after canceling a scheduled appearance at gay bar The Hit Factory on Friday night, Ciara, 27, was threatened with a lawsuit.

At her next show on Saturday the "Goodies" singer was handed the court documents while she sang.

Ciara’s people maintain the singer gave ample notice that she would not be able to perform at the bar, TMZ reports.

The bar is reportedly suing Ciara for breach of contract, though the singer's representatives maintain they gave ample notice that she would not be able to perform as scheduled. Per TMZ, The Factory promoted her appearance anyway.
