Lil Wayne released from hospital after suffering multiple seizures

After suffering several seizures and spending six days in the ICU, rapper Lil Wayne has been released from the hospital.

"Thanks to [Cedars-Sinai] for everything!!! @LilTunechi has been officially been released and is headed home....God is great," Young Money Entertainment president Mack Maine tweeted.

"Wayne is feeling weak but he's a lot better," a source told TMZ. "He plans on laying low until he makes a full recovery."

The 30-year-old music mogul suffered his first seizure last week while shooting a music video with Nicki Minaj. He was released and then re-entered the hospital again due to a suspected drug overdose, according to the gossip website, and has been in intensive care since March 12.

His stomach was reportedly pumped at least three times after a suspected overdose on the prescription drug codeine - the main ingredient in the cough syrup mix known as "sizzurp."

TMZ reported Friday night that Wayne was in a medical induced coma sparking rumors that the rapper was near death.

He took to Twitter to set the record straight posting, "I'm good everybody, Thnx for the prayers and love."

Wayne had several A-list visitors during his stay, including Birdman, Nicki Minaj, Drake and NBA star Chris Paul and his wife.

"They've done the tests, and they did tests last year," a source close to the "How to Love" singer told The Daily Beast. "They even gave him seizure medicine last year that was supposed to help. It did for a while, but I'm not sure how much Wayne takes care of himself when no one is around."
